God
Has Healed My
Heart

"He heals the broken hearted, binding up their wounds."
Psalm 147:3 (NLT)

Eight year-old Faith, with the gorgeous, long, red hair, looked up at me with a smile on her face.
This young granddaughter was the joy of my life. My constant companion and prayer partner. Since a divorce in her family several months earlier she and her sister and mother had been living with us. We had laughed together, cried together, and an endearing bond that was formed at her birth became even stronger during those crisis days.
In Faith's hand was a picture she had drawn of a heart that was broken. A jagged line, splitting the heart in two pieces, ran from the top to the bottom of the small heart.
"Grandma," Faith said to me, "God has healed my broken heart. Last year my heart was broken, but God has healed it." And then Faith drew a picture of a heart wholly complete without a tear.
Hugging her close, I thanked God for being faithful to heal her broken heart. That was a promise He had given to me soon after the girls came to live with us. I was grateful that Faith knew it was our great and wonderful God who had healed her. Her granddaddy and I loved and cared for her during those troublesome days, but only God could heal her broken heart.
God will heal your heart and bind your wounds too.
Just ask Him.
His promises are faithful and true!
