Jimmie
Johnson Wins
Again

"We
are confident of
all this because
of our great
trust in God
through
Christ.
Our only power
and success come
from Him."
I
Corinthians
3:4,5 (NLT)

Under
the lights for the
first time, Jimmie
Johnson crossed
the finish line as
the winner of the
Southern 500 at
Darlington Raceway
Sunday. Since ten
of his friends
were killed in a
Hendricks
Motorsports plane
crash a few weeks
ago, Jimmie has
been on a mission
to win the NEXTEL
Cup Championship.
Johnson
dominated most of
the 26-race
regular season,
winning easily at
more than one
track. But, when
the final 10-race
for the
championship
began, he found
himself falling to
ninth place after
the first four
races. Mistakes
and mechanical
failures cost them
big time in the
Chase for the Cup.
Now
with four
victories in the
last five races,
he once again is
in top contention
for the
championship.
Never one to give
up, his crew chief
Chad Knaus knows
Jimmie is a
championship
driver. He, also,
realizes that if
the #48 Lowe's
team does their
part in Sunday's
finale at
Homestead-Miami
Speedway, they can
bring that trophy
home to Hendrick
Motorsports.
Maybe
you have come upon
a tough time in
your life. Are you
seeing failures
around you daily
or weekly? Does
life just seem to
be one big
mistake?
Don't
give in or give
up!
You
can become
adequate once more
as you begin to
carry out your
responsibilities
with God's help.
Claim the special
power and strength
He promises to
give us. Our
natural talents
and abilities can
only carry us so
far. But, because
of your trust in
God through Jesus
Christ, success
can once again be
the norm for you.
Jimmie
Johnson says these
wins have been a
healing time for
him and the whole
Hendrick
Motorsports team.
Bring God back
into your life and
healing will begin
for you. Just as
wins are good
medicine for the
Lowe's team, Jesus
can be your great
Physician and you
will find yourself
a winner again.
